Honestly, what could be more wholesome than a made-from-scratch quiche? This recipe is so much fun to make on the weekends when guests are in town or even just for the heck of it!

Tools to bake the Kale and Bacon Quiche
- 9″ pie dish – I use the Pampered Chef 9″ Stoneware pie dish (I’m not affiliated with Pampered Chef, I just LOVE their products!) but this Le Creuset Stoneware pie dish a fantastic alternative.
- Large bowl
- Large spatula
- Cast iron skillet – for frying bacon.
- Digital kitchen timer – I really love this timer and that it also comes in a pack of two. One for me and one for my toddler to play with!
Ingredients you’ll need
Pre-made Easy, Flakey Pie Crust Recipe
1 Cup bacon, cooked and chopped
1/2 Cup onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
1 Cup kale, chopped
1 1/2 Cup sharp white cheddar cheese
7 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
How to prepare the Quiche
- Make my Easy, Flakey Pie Crust Recipe
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a skillet, cook 1 cup bacon over medium heat.
- In a large bowl, add cooked bacon, onion, garlic, kale, sharp white cheddar cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings. Mix with large spatula until thoroughly combined.
- Add all contents on top of the already cooked Easy, Flakey Pie Crust.
- Bake quiche for 38-42 minutes or until the center has a light jiggle.
- Let quiche cool for 10 minutes then serve immediately. Enjoy!

Let’s get to the good part. I know we’re all hungry here! First, you’ll need to make my Easy, Flakey Pie Crust. Once you’ve cooked the crust, turn your oven down to 350 degrees. If you’re using a premade crust, preheat your oven to 350 degrees now.
In a skillet, cook 1 cup bacon over medium heat.
In a large bowl, add cooked bacon, onion, garlic, kale, sharp white cheddar cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings. Mix with large spatula until thoroughly combined.

Add all contents on top of the already cooked Easy, Flakey Pie Crust.
Bake quiche for 38-42 minutes or until the center has a light jiggle.
